Ryan Sweeney (mild concussion) has been activated from the seven-day disabled list and is in Monday's lineup as the Sox look to get their record back to .500 against the Tigers. Both the Red Sox and Tigers are 23-24 on the season.
To make room for Sweeney's return, the Red Sox optioned outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin to Tripe-A Pawtucket. Sweeney is batting seventh and playing center field. Daniel Nava is in the leadoff spot for the Sox for the first time since the 2010 season. Mike Aviles is batting ninth.
